There are two types of interns in this world: those who are looking for just any old internship and those who seek a truly immersive, hands-on experience. At Southland, we’re only interested in the latter. We view every student as a potential hire and ensures each intern and co-op student receives an opportunity like none other. If a paid internship that exposes you to exciting projects and potential career paths with one of the country’s largest MEP building systems firms appeals to you, let’s talk!
At Southland Industries, we believe people are our greatest resource and not just someone to get the job done. We respect each person working here–and their life outside of the workplace. By promoting flexibility and a healthy work/life balance, Southland employees are able to remain passionate about what they do for years to come. Our employees offer valued contributions that lead to innovative outcomes, and many times, memories that last a lifetime. Those that enjoy coming to work in an exciting environment filled with inspiring individuals understand that working for Southland isn’t just a career – it’s a lifestyle.
Many of our past interns have gone on to have thriving careers at Southland. From designers and project managers to executive leadership, students that intern at Southland often become employees that excel at Southland. In fact, our CEO Ted Lynch was Southland’s very first intern.
At Southland, we believe time and money invested in the career development of the individuals that work here is also an investment in our business. The more our employees know, the better we are as a company.
