POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop strong relationships with customers in order to retain and grow sales within an assigned customer base.  Current account managers in any industry looking to grow into sales, or current service roles looking to develop their career and take the next step as an account manager, with aspirations of growing into a sales role, would be excellent candidates. 

This role is responsible for client satisfaction quality control strategies for assigned accounts. Some of our exciting clients are in the professional sports industry, automotive industry, big five information technology industry, university / education, and medical industries, to name a few. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage retention activities within an assigned customer base, including identifying additional up-selling with existing customers.
  • Develop a trusted, long-lasting advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a quality control and implementation strategy to meet those needs.  Identify and resolve issues as needed.
  • Lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customers; tracks and communicates trends in customer satisfaction and/or account issues with branch leadership and sales team
  • Prepare and maintain account status reports and review with sales management.
  • Locally traveling to clients in the field with the flexibility to make your own schedule spending time at client sites, in office, and working from home.
  • Vehicle Allowance provided in addition to base salary

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in customer service (may include sales)
  • Experience in HVAC industry a plus, but not necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executives and C-level
  • Strong project management skills
  • Solid experience with CRM software
  • Experience identifying and delivering customer-focused solutions to customer needs, with strong foundation of being able to build rapport and trust with customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills

The roles of our account consultants range from developing proposals on HVAC mechanical and building automation construction sales, to composing preventative maintenance agreements in order to find and win new customers. The primary function of this team is to develop client relationships and actively prospect for new sales opportunities.
